Why is our Country in so much trouble?

Just take a look at the hateful questions and answers on this site. How can anyone work with such crude people who only know how to hate, ridicule, and assasinate the character of those trying to fix things.

What do our politicians teach your children when it is o.k. to slander others, lie about others, stir up trouble for others. What are you teaching your children. Are these things making a better or worse world for them

We complain about the violence in society today and yet our vehement vengence is propagating it.

Part of the solution. If you were my next door neighbor we'd be best of friends, One of the very BEST questions I have seen on Yahoo. Congrats. When I see any hate monger groups on Yahoo I report them and get them off of the net. I urge everyone who wants to be part of the solution to do likewife, Go for it and GOOD LUCK

I guess you are American, am i right? I think your country is greedy. This is what history brings. First of all, greed made you to destroy nearly all of the Indians, and then what?! There is a whole world to get, to get all their sources of energy and power. This is so simple.
Sorry for that...
I never thought that there could be such people in your country asking those questions, at least to themselves!
But, maybe, we all are the part of the problem. Yes, people are faced to death, for both sides in Iraq, or anywhere on earth. Children, mothers, young soldiers who never knew how that system they're inside is cycling, and will they ever have a chance yo know? I do not think so.
We all live safe at our homes, but can we say that it will last forever? If you pay no attention, someday you might be at the same situation with the ones that suffer right now.
We all should be very carefull when selecting our politicians... As you can see in the picture you are living inside!

You know, you're right and I find hate and senseless mean acts very distasteful. We, unfortunately, live in a society where consideration of others and common courtesy is almost non-existent or just too few and far between! I do not condone such awful behavior, but you have to lighten up somewhat if you don't want to die of a stroke! Again, unfortunately, you are going to be exposed to dis-tasteful and crass individuals almost daily, attempt to avoid them..(if this site makes you crazy, don't log on)....AND by all means DO NOT go to myspace.com!! I think the idiots that answer serious questions with negative responses and crude retorts simply have no intelligence to speak of. Luckily they are easily dismissed...

Good Luck in finding peace....practice random acts of kindness and try not to let the mean and ignorant pull you down to their level.

Being part of the solution is knowing the candidates and where they stand on issues. We have been led like sheep. People must speak up for change. It isn't right to see others go into poverty because they get ill. To lose their homes because of property taxes and the rising cost of all necessities. To lose their jobs, while the rich get richer, and send jobs out of the country, to make more money and destroy the middle class. You know where the incumbents stand and what they have done and it's time to vote them out and keep voting incumbents out until we get a government that will be, of the people, by the people and for the people. We need to teach our children to have pride in America once again and not let it be infiltrated by illegals, criminals, drug dealers and political crooks.

I try to be part of the solution. I just got a venomous e-mail from someone who took violent offense at one of my answers, when no offense was intended. I am shutting down my e-mail for a while. Who needs that???

No, I am not part of the problem, I know where I stand and I stand firm. You are actually the problem, you cannot put blinders on your kids and expect them to make decisions when they get older, gee I hope this wasn't to mean for you.

Your question gives us an opportunity to think and really take inventory of our life, to check and see how do we act and react to our fellow man, and I will personally ask God, all who read this to "Please" forgive me for anything I have said offensive, judgemental, or other wise degrading in my answers, questions, or other actions, please forgive me, and I pray Gods` help for me to be, and do better, thus setting an example for youngsters and others to follow. thank you for this thought provoking question Heidi.

You're seeing what you want to see about our country.

Violence is down in these so-called troubled times. Prosperity is up for those who pursue it.

Peace.
