I can't remember very well as I'm now a GP and its been a while since I worked in Anaesthetics, but... midazolam is a benzodiazepine, which has a short duration of action. Propofol is used as a general anaesthetic agent as it has a longer duration of action. Midazolam can be given for short-term sedation, for eg. to put back a dislocated shoulder. Propofol is only given by an anaesthetist in an operating-theatre setting.

Sorry I can't remember more about modes of action.

You have probably misspelled the word "midazalam."

Still, the word could be Midazolam.
