Because people think that god is the answer to everything. He is not. If he is real, he gave us a brain to figure things out. How things work, why they work that way, etc.... The sky is not truly blue. It is the many different gasses in the ozone layer that make appear to be blue. Such as Ozone which is a blue gas. If there was more carbon monoxide in the atmosphere than ozone it would appear red because carbon monoxide is a red gas. People use god as a way to explain everything and anything they can't, or things they don't understand. This is how people have explained things they could not for thousands and thousands of years. They say it is god or some type of higher being. I don't personally have a problem with this. I just see it as another way of controll. I'm not saying your religion is right or wrong. I'm just saying what I think. I don't know if there is a god or not. How can we really know until we die or everyone sees him at the same time. I hope there is a higher power. It would really be something to marvel at.

Of course. Any Christian (or person of any other faith) worth their salt knows that God put together an orderly universe, and that there are reasons why things happen in it -- studying the inner workings of HOW the universe which God built works, is called science.
The greatest scientists of all times recognized this, and it is clear to be seen in their personal (non-scientific) writings. Albert Einstein's reason for being so skeptical of the then-new Quantum Mechanics Theory's reliance on probability and random behavior was that "God does not play dice." But Einstein was not the only major scientific figure to hold a strong belief in God, nor was he the only one (by any means) to believe that to study science was to get a tiny glimpse into the awesome mind of the Creator.
As a professional engineer and inventor, I employ science and mathematics and knowledge of how the world works to accomplish everything in my daily work -- and at the same time am constantly marvelling at what a vastly more astonishing, detailed, intricate, complex, and PERFECT job the Lord has done of it.

Because most people do not know the science behind things and the quickest and easiest answer is the “because God made it that way”. It is like when kids ask their parent something and the parent doesn’t have a clue what the answer is they just say “because that is the way it is”. It is the "we have always done it that way" sort of answer. So my answer is that most people are not all that knowledgeable. Most people do not take the time to think about things, they just live their lives day to day and are blown out of the water when their children ask profound questions. Eventually the kid stops asking. Sad. And then the kid becomes the parent and the whole cycle starts over. This is why we do not have many people who can think outside of the box.

Any rational thinking person would think ONLY without involving any religion, and especially when thinking CONSCIOUSLY !
The word conscious thinking itself gives adequate clue to what constitutes conscious thinking... the conscience, not religion !
However, if the person also happens to be very religious, when such conscious thinking brings a clarity, explanation, and de-mystifies something about which religion has also provided a hint or clue, he feels gratitude and also a sense of being 'blessed' !
There are religions that give adequate caution to not rely upon just blind beliefs, and explore the possibility to experience.
Certain practices, techniques just happen to look like 'religious + unscientific' because, they are designed to create a situation where a person transcends the perception level through just sense organs, and in doing so transcends the known scientific methodology, and its basic tool, the human mind (since this mind that 'thinks' can receive inputs, data, only through sense organs) !

Possibly one can try to understand the depth of your question If we can catch the meaning of that word "anything".
Anything , any material thing or any physical thing can be thought of without thinking of God , let alone the religion."Flower, ...aahh flower" No problem. But the moment you say the abstract..."Aah, what a beautiful flower" . You enter the domain of the creator. "Aah ...aah... how many different flowers" . You had it.
Look at these other abstracts. Gratitude, empathy, jealousy, hatred, . These are mind related. The mystic mind that is there and ..that is not there to see,.
When you come to the mind its expansion within, is simply overwhelming. You can imagine , lying in your bed, the cosmic space and the distant planets that are yet to be seen scientifically. This is where God comes in. Not religion .
The wretched religion comes in ONLY when that distant mind filled , unknown God is owned up by hijackers, who call themselves religious leaders . Did not mind exist before 2006 years ago? Did not people have expanded mind before 1219 years ago? At those times there were no hijackers but only Pagans.

Nothing has to involve God or Nature or Is or whatever. Look at the ancient times...man did not understand thunder or rain and felt it was some sort of calamity out to fall on them. Hence the rain god and the god of thunder .
Now we understand better. Its the play of electricity and simple elements in everything whether its the human body or stone or your chair.
Yes, there is something that hold it all together ...we call it science or we call it divine interference. If god needed acknowledgment so bad, he/she would be shouting at us every sec or so " Praise me or else..."
Instead, we are encouraged to discover and if possible appreciate the subtle beauty of it all and if possible, become ourselves through it. No such thing as blasphemy.
Lets call the conscience our crutch, not God.
Personal choice is encouraged all around . Religion is an attempt at explaining away all your mind does not want to grasp. That is what it started out as . Its why to remember why religion came into being in the first place.

Science = understanding how god works. Of course we will never know the whole story but God did indeed give us science and everything around us can be explained using science.
I have no idea why people either take a religious standpoint or a scientific one... since the two are the same thing, imho.

Reason being that a child of God will stays conscious of him and will allways include him in their everyday involvment with others. One uses the knowledge of God, but when a christian needs help they call unto the Father. True God gave us a science but not more imortant than God himself. Real christians cannot say much of nothing except giving God all the praise and glory

I think of the bible and that stuff as a childrens book to the universe. ( Thats not blasphemous, your gods children so expect a kids book ) Science is still in an early age, it has to explain more than theorise ( Science conducts itself the exact way as religion too, we are right and your wrong, thats impossible, those sorts of attitudes ), so the good book holds ground still when it comes to the way of things. My guess though, would be the creation of the universe in the bible will match the very complicated and overdone explanation in science. Sort of like you spend years trying to explain the universe, or you just say god did it.

Yes I know how to consciously think about anything and everything without involving religion. All questions have a non-religious and scientific answer.
