Is there any particular difference between BUDDY and FRIEND.
I am not from the US. I was recently talking to a guy who's from the US. He was like i got no buddy but a lot of friends.
I was like what the. Help me guys out here. PLZ

I really am not sure of the difference, but it seems like to me all guys will say "My buddy..." I rarely hear them say "My friend..." I hardly ever hear girls say buddy. I always thought that was weird.

I think he meant someone that you are almost like best friends with, like a person who is usually always with you no matter where you go. Some people use it that way but others use it loosely in the way that they call EVERYONE buddy! It just depends on the person, to me, I think it means the same thing

A buddy is a lot closer than just a friend.
