I think there is no easy solution to the problem unless you had created a boot disk like (PE builder beforehand)
All that I can suggest is to take your hard disk out, and connect it to another computer as a slave disk and get a backup of all your important data, before you loose it.
After that format the hard disk and get a new installation done.

However you can try the steps below given on computer hope website
Windows XP users

Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter "E". This letter may be different on your computer.

copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\

Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.

NTLDR is part of the kernal that is used during startup. This is required to run Windows. If for some reason you get this message there are three common paths to correction 1) Make sure that there is nothing your cd-rom drive when you try to start your computer. Then verify in the bios that the c:\ is in your list. Also verify that your computer sees your Hard Drive. 2) if the disk is fine, and its not trying to boot off of some bad disk, then try using a windows recovory disk (or the windows cd-rom and choose the option for recovery) 3) you hard drive may be bad
This is most commly caused by (in order of propability);
1)Corrupt or missing boot files
2) Booting from the wrong drive
3) HDD failure
4) Virus

Yes, download the free liveCDrom, boot from it, and prove that your compouter system is fully functional.

If it boots and runs all the games and programs, over 1900, and you like it, you can click on the installation button, and it is yours, free.

Also, it is virus free, and Microsoft.com, hotmail.com (since before 1997 purchase by MS), MSN.com all run on 45,000 Linux servers. That is what the free LiveCD uses as it's kernel, Linux.

It runs my systems upto 50X faster. PCGaming magazine proved it to be 50X faster than Microsoft XP Pro that was tweaked to the max, in the Fall 2004 Quake III shootout.
