Well that means you can not count the about 15% of the country that is African American. 20-30% Identify as republican, so I think it is safe to say that all of them do not approve of Obama so lets say that is another 25 because we have to assume that some GOP supporters are African American. So that leaves 65% of the nation. Lets assume the same amount identify as democrat, so that only leaves 40% are moderate whites. So it can not be above 40%.

The same as a straight ticket Republican! You aren't going to change his mind! With Republicans it is primarily "Don't confuse me with the facts! It is about the same as some Democrats, they just happen to be on the side that know most of the facts!!

staunch is usually heard with republican not democrat but I don't see any reason why not.... two party ultimatums seem be hear to stay, unfortunately....
