Yes, my thoughts:
1. People of faith believe the Bible's account of creation to be true.
2. Science produces observable phenonema that seem to contradict the Biblical account.
3. It is up to people of faith, not necessarily science in general, to become conversant enough with astronomy and physical science to provide reasonable and believable explanations of scientific developments that are consistent with the Bible.
4. The failure to do so will result in many kids rejecting religion as being inconsistent with science.

Hi,
I think people in general are sometimes too involved in looking for the differences in things, rather than finding areas of agreeance. I think this is an institutional problem and may be quite useful to change this on a personal level.
I think science can learn something from religion and religion can learn something for science, and I think as time goes on, this will be too our benefit. They don't have to be mutually exclusive.
Power to the peaceful,
Sammi

Both systems seek the truth. One is more symbolic (religion) that is more based in emotions and feelings, Science as an open system /truths that may change with time/ is based on proof, methods, instruments that can be universal, religion is not universal even if some people consider God to be universal.
The individual needs both aspects, religion to make his spirit grow and evolve, to live in order with traditions that are human and sometimes claim to be divine or perfect, and the individual needs science to have technology to help other's
Individuals have brain /science/ and spirit .religion, both relate and there is no science without a spirit that is willing to seek answers , and there cant be religion with ideas, without the human brain to understand what love is or hope, etc.
I know people who work in both fields, they have a lot of credibility in both fields, priests who happen to study medicine or scientists who work in churches, etc, they are not antagonists and we shouldnt see them as bad for society, they need to be one and will unify when everyone of us understands their role in every life.

Only once people recognize the truth: that all scientific belief is based on faith.
But humans are stupid. So I'm not holding my breath.
