classics like war and peace, jane austin series, charles dickens, and writers of that period shall win hands down, coz they are the best writers whose writings shall ever remain in vogue, even after "the alchemist" though i admit, its really great!!!

in my opinion:
1. To Sir, With Love
2. Not Without my Daughter, by Betty Mahmoody
3. Daughter of iraq, by Mayada Al-Askari
4. The Scarlet A
5. Gitanjali, by Nobel Laurate (literature) Rabindranath tagore
these are in serial order, i'm not comparing any of them 4 could be better 3, or 5 could be the best, or 1 could be the best
