Try this....
Just visualise those persons standing before you, and call them by their name a few times, get used to be with them , being 'live', either travelling back in to their time, or picturising them their ancient dress, on a modern street, looking comical ! The recording of the name into memory will be easier.

I think You can learn the names of the hostrical people by reading the books about History and Mythology and Surfing to the internet like google and encarta in msn.com
