We are made up of atoms.. but when you look closely.. atoms are composed of subatomic particles.. and if you look even more closely.. these particles are really .. energy!!! That's right we are made up of energy. Each of us are actually fields of energy.. within a larger field of energy .. the universe.
When you think of the laws of physics pertaining to energy.. it cannot be created or destroyed but it can be converted into another form.. this is the physical law of conservation.
With this in mind, since we are energy..in a larger field of energy, when we die.. we are converted to another form of energy that is the same energy that is the stuff of the universe. Our energies no longer make us separate from other entities, other people. In other words..our bodies decay and become that which makes up the earth. Ashes to ashes.. dust to dust.. energy to energy.
Well what about the energy that makes up our conscousness.. our "soul" as some would say. Since that too is energy derived from the chemical reactions in our synapses.. our consciousness would not be destroyed either.. following the law of conservation.. our consciousness which is also a kind of energy must also be converted into another form of energy.
If I would hazard a guess.. this energy of our consciousness also becomes one with the energy of the universe.. just as our physical bodies do in time as they decay to become one with the earth.
In the beginning there was a singularity.. the source of all knowledge and matter and antimatter.. everything in the universe known and unknown was contained at this one point. At some point (notice I didn't say "at some time".. since time didn't exist then) this singularity expanded and formed the universe as we now see it. As it expanded, something called distance was created and with it ...."time" came into being.. and consequently "velocity" occured. This is the "big bang" as some would call it. Who is to say that this same singularity was not sentient as well? (rhetorical question)
By the way, there is no such thing as good or evil..these are constructs developed so that we can get along with each other... In reality there are just decisions that work for you or against you.
Secular humanism has provided an impetus for humans to solve their problems with intelligence and perseverance, to conquer geographic and social frontiers, and to extend the range of human exploration and adventure. Regrettably, we are today faced with a variety of antisecularist trends: the reappearance of dogmatic authoritarian religions; fundamentalist, literalist, and doctrinaire Christianity; a rapidly growing and uncompromising Moslem clericalism in the Middle East and Asia; the reassertion of orthodox authority by the Roman Catholic papal hierarchy; nationalistic religious Judaism; and the reversion to obscurantist religions in Asia.
New cults of unreason as well as bizarre paranormal and occult beliefs, such as belief in astrology, reincarnation, and the mysterious power of alleged psychics, are growing in many Western societies. These disturbing developments follow in the wake of the emergence in the earlier part of the twentieth century of intolerant messianic and totalitarian quasi religious movements, such as fascism and communism. These religious activists not only are responsible for much of the terror and violence in the world today but stand in the way of solutions to the world's most serious problems.

Hopefully someone will find your lifeless body within 24 hours.
Then they'll do an autopsy to see what illegal drugs you've been doing.
Then the whole town will speculate as to how you really died.
Was it murder, was it suicide or was it an accident.
Then they put on a really expensive show for everyone to feel better that they did something to honor you.
But you could care less. You're long gone. You're not lingering around to see who comes to your funeral. You're off roaming the galaxy, flying around with your new found ability to travel anywhere you wish just by willing it. No there aren't angels with music playing in the background. Imagine if there were.? I wonder who wrote the songs and did they recieved a grammy. Here's the real deal. Nobody knows for sure what's after death. It's all speculation. If there is a God, he shouldn't have made man so intelligent that he questions the existance of God. Flip a coin.

Depends on who you are, what you have done to God's children, whether you are good or evil. Of course, I'm sure I have a different take on this than most, for I believe that all God's children go to Heaven, are saved, etc. I also believe that Satan and his offspring go straight to hell. I don't believe for an instant that God is incapable of redeeming ANY of his/her children ever. I don't want any returned email on this if you should disagree. I talk to Mother Mary and Jesus just fine. They also talk back... constantly. I 'm not looking for a minister of Christ's gospel. Jesus interprets Reality just fine for me, thank you very much. I don't depend on ancient texts alone, however, for anything. I like going directly to the Source as well. We are all capable of talking directly to our Heavenly Father. I include the Mother side of God as well, for all of life supports two sides of things, well, that is if you can see or think or love or observe Reality at all. No offense. I'm sure you meant well. At least I'm hoping you did. Don't bother me if you didn't, ok? For I've had enough of would-be seekers or pretend ministers who know nothing of God, but always seek a listener. Clear enough???

When you die, you stop breathing. This prevents oxygen from being inhaled, blood from being pumped, and nerves from feeling. At that point, your dead body will almost certainly be buried or cremated. If you were killed by the mob, however, you may end up at the bottom of a river with cement shoes. Ya never know with those guys.

funeral rites are performed to the body and it is buried or burnt as is the custom of each religion. The life which left the body has to go to the place it has acquired for itself by the deeds committed with the body

You die.
When Jesus comes back, He will raise everyone to be judged. Those found in the book of life will inherit eternal life. Those not found will be thrown into a lake of fire where they will be consumed, and therefore, no longer exist.

We lose contact with the body, and without the sense organs (they cease to be available any more!), we struggle to find out that we are dead, UNLESS, during our lifetime, we attempt to experience perception beyond sense organs !
