Yes and no. Sellers have the OPTION of holding out for their price, or choosing not to sell if they can't get it. On the other hand, if a market is running in a buyer's favor because supply exceeds demand - like the housing market today, for instance - then the seller can be said to NOT have control over price.

No you have to look to the law of supply and demand they can only charge as much as a person is willing to pay for a object. If no one will pay X dollars for objsect Y then the seller must reduce the price on object Y to a price where they can amke a profit and still move product.

what are you talking about price of what where? some sellers have some controll over price some don't. It depends on what's happening in the marketplace with tings like cost of supplies changes in technology changes in laws ect... Just remember the people selling things have to pay bills and put food on the table too.

they always have control on price, However , you the buyer has control on weather the item is bought or not. If You dont like the price, dont buy it
