Well high school and college are two different levels of society. High school revolves around popularity and college is about real life. Whatever you do in college will affect your life.

My suggestion is to be yourself. Put your head in the books, but not too much. Don't leave the world behind because you're more concern with school. In time you'll meet people while studying, going to class, or looking for the coolest parties for the weekend. You can't just walk on campus and say I was popular in high school. Truth be told you have the popular in terms of an adult. Not as a child, that's probably why people don't consider you popular. You may still have a bit of child in you. Grow up a bit more and see the world around you. The way others act and think about it. You'll be popular in no time or at least with the new group of friends you'll make.

it's a completely different world and you're expected to behave as such. you're no longer a "kid". You are on your own. You need to behave and make decisions like a grownup. Sometimes you will have trouble fitting in but there are lots of groups and plenty of people in each school. Try joining some clubs or sports, or volunteering somewhere. Maybe you'll meet some people that way. Good luck.

A lot of the colleges are quite big [in terms of student population & size], so it's going to be harder to be 'popular'.. and most college students aren't concerned with popularity. They're more concerned with passing midterms and finals.

Join/start a study group or one of the college clubs.. that's always a good start.

Karma is a bit ch.

I'm guessing you made fun of people in high school and now it's coming back to bite you in the a ss.

Same thing usually goes for parents who were popular and mean to kids in school. Their kids become the kids their parents used to make fun of.

Because in college is where the real world begins.

Nobody cares who you are or where. You are basically your grades and classes now. That's how college popularity works.

Because generally all you need to do to be popular in high school is act like a skank. Different group of people in college, different values.

I think alot of college kids are more concerned with doing well in school...alot of people's 'socialness' sort of drops off after college...because there's other things to worry about.
