OOKay Man of the Year was worst movie of the year... was only funny like for maybe 10 minutes...2 thumbs down!

To simply put it... the first 45 minutes will have you falling out of your seat laughing. The next 45 minutes will have you wondering how long is this movie. The last 45 will have you giggling. Overall the movie was OK but it could have been almost an hour shorter if the direction/story was better. I would rather have had an hour of good than 2 of ok.

Mr. Williams is an acquired taste. I thought he was a blast back in the Mork & Mindy days. (Yes, I watched them before they were re-runs.) I watched him in the "filthy" phase, and saw him go downhill a bit when the drug abuse and alcohol consumption went overboard. He was still funny. Now he is like a good wine. Aged, but not palatable to everyone. I would not be surprised to the 'Ol Man do a non comedy role soon, and come out smelling like a rose. I am not an actor, and never will be one, (Unless pulled over for DUI.) but Robin Williams is one of our better people, and deserves some respect.

I have not seen the movie, but I love most of RW's films. I think he has tried to do most types of movies as most good actors do to show their versitility. The Final Cut was one that I thought was "out of character" for him. I think he seems wrong for some parts because I saw him only in comedy for so long before he started doing all these heavy, serious roles. Don't get me wrong. I still think he is great, I just have to get used to seeing him in some movies.

His best movie was Good Will Hunitng...Why? Because it was not a comedy. Robin Williams is not funny when he is on coke or when he is drunk.
