well 1st check which file is infected if that is a windows registry then then qurantine it as deleting it would make the comp to become unstable.if it is a file of any other which is not windows delete it.
qurantine means that the antivirus doesnt deletes the file but keeps it in the chest but locked and replaces it with a dummy so the comp can wok stably. also instal a firewall to prevent future mishap.also email mcafee about ur problem for help

It is better to delete if mcafee does it automatically. Quarantine means that program is still on your pc, but is not allowed to do any movement. It is ok to quarantine something which the computer says it can not delete. And then delete it afterwards, by going to the safe mode or by following manual removal instructions.

Delete it, quarantine just put it in a place where it is held within the McAfee program files, here it does nothing but waste space.
Delete everthing that can be a problem.

if your files/folders are infected with a Trojan horse its better to delete them in the first place.Sometimes anti virus disinfects those files and put them in a box called "Quarantine",as long as your Mcafee or any other anti virus is installed those files will stay in quarantine box ,the moment u uninstall it ,it will be free again.

Get rid of it. It doesn't belong on your mo-chine at all. Quarantining just isolates the program or script so that (in theory) it can't corrupt other files and programs.

Do both - quarantine then delete using your anti-virus software.
