I have met many people in my travels through life, and one thing matters the most. This would be their heart. By this I mean the heart in which a person has behind everything that they do. Some people are angry and unkind. While others are happy and try to make other peoples days better. So, judging a person by the appearance, truley only shows ones own limitatations. The world we live in is multicultural anyways. But sadly you are juged in every aspect of it. By wealth and by appearance. With either of these two trates you can get in almost any door. If you want to date someone of another race, well then that is your choice. Personaly I feel, that any time race is brought up in any situation, its racism.

Coming to this forum was an eye opener for me as well. I am from a multiracial family and have lived in communities with educated people who have traveled extensively and always been in integrated (multiracial and multinational) settings. I also work in a setting where we have a multicultural and multiracial staff and we often meet away from the office to socialize and have fun. When I share some of the racist comments I see on yahoo answers, they are amazed and shocked. Interracial dating has always been a norm in environments I live in and grew up in. I feel very blessed to have seen the wonderful things that a diverse environment can bring. I truly feel sorry for people who are locked into such a narrow way of thinking and viewing the world. I thank God for generations of interracial dating and marriage or I would not be here.

There is nothing wrong with interracial dating. Think about it.. Why would it be wrong? Because of the color of your mates skin? What difference does that make. I think that in this newer age that the color of the skin may not be the biggest reason for disliking interracial dating. I think that it maybe the difference in cultures that people are afraid of. And they are also afraid of change. I love change or at least the thought of being able to change. To have someone difference from you is too learn from other cultures and therefore you can take the thoughts of both cultures and combine them--which is how most religions around have been formed. Remember one thing though Love in its purest form is blindfolded. It does not see the color of your skin, your culture or anything else. Most times people don't know why they love someone but they just do love them. And thats the way it should be. So interracial dating should not be considered negative in any way.

I see no problem with it. If they work well together and seem to care for each other, who are you (or anyone) to complain about another couple's skin color "conflict"

If you are a part of a bi-racial couple and you care for the other person, good for you! It sounds corny, but it is still true: It's what's on the inside that counts.

If you can both handle the stupid people who still live in the 60's and think that everyone should be with only people of their color/race and can ignore their bigotry, then by all means, be together!

Well, I think it's sad that many are harassed for being together. Usually white and black more often. I would not feel so uncomfortable with most others though. I would be more inclined to date an Asian woman once I had my life and self together. I had dated a mexican girl a few times but since I would be less inclined to bother again. I prefer someone more balanced and reserved and who doesn't forget their purse on a dutch date (every time)

Growing up i never got what the big deal was!!!! Some people just have no idea!!! Why judge people by their colour and not by who they are??? There are nasty people in all races and good ones too... A majority of my friends are in inter racial relationships and the funny thing is until today i never even noticed.

I don't have a problem with it. It is the choice of the people that are involved. There are some realities that need to be faced though, look at them. Be open and discuss them. Understand that some people will not change. And go from there.

i have no problems with any of it except black/white, and my issue is this: girls think the black dudes who are "thugs" are cute, and when someone tries to tell them that they are trouble, they don't listen, then later they end up beat up, or single with a half black baby. Thats my problem, and also, the ratio of black guy-white girl to white guy-black girl is like... 15:1, so really its hurting my odds, and taking prospects out of my potential pool of females. But as far as asain/latino/whatever else... im all for it!

WTH. Isn't that a question from the 70s for something? Honestly, I never thought about it until now so I have no qualms with it.
