Who sees the world when you're awake? Same one dreams the dream. All your senses and thoughts are experienced within you. There's a part of your being that's like the holodeck on Starship Enterprise. You look at a tree and it seems to be outside of you. But the vision of the tree is within your being. Call it the theater of consciousness. To learn more about how it works, look up lucid dreaming on the search engines. What you read there won't answer your question, but actual lucid dreaming will increase your understanding.

The mind, the ego, the soul are all the same. You are not made up out of separate parts that don't interact or can exist on their own, every part of you is dependent on the rest, so it is the whole being that dreams.

Depends on what kind of a dream it is...if it's something the subconscious needs to work out, if it's a communication from the super-conscious, or just fragments of the day that need filing.

Who dreams THE dream I live in? Has to be some sick sadistic person and I hope he's happy and amused.
Who dreams the dreams I dream at night? My mind.
