Listen to Seasons by Magna Carta. The Prologue song is most soothing which is Brit. progressive folk.

Folk relaxes me the most. Be it of Brit. or American origin.

It doesn't make a lot of sense but Ministry or Metallica can calm me down. If I try to listen to something mellow it just irritates me even more. Nine Inch Nails or Panterra will make me angrier. After I am completely calmed down, I like silence.
