I want to be able to switch users on my computer without having to shut it completly down, but when I go to user accounts (form control panel) and click on "change the way a user logs on or off", I get a message that says "client services for netware has disabled the welcome screen and fast user switching, and that I must uninstall "client services for netware" in order to restore it. How do I do this? (I have windows xp)

START/SETTINGS/CONTROL PANEL/NETWORK CONNECTIONS. On your LOCAL AREA CONNECTION right click it, go to properties and click it, highlight 'CLIENT SERVICES for NETWARE' and click the 'UNINSTALL' button below. Click 'OK' and you should be set to go to your USER ACCOUNTS and activate the WELCOME SCREEN.

1) Open up network connections
2) then right click Local Area Network (Or wireless connection)
3) click properties
4) then you see in that little window a checkbox for client services for netware

Uninstall it from there.

Hope this helps

You would have to go to control panel, and then you would have to do the same things you did, making sure that use welcome screens and fast user switching are enabled. Then you would have to restart your computer. After the restart, your changes should take effect.
