Now most of the movie lovers have chosen the illegal route of viewing movies through pirated versions of CDs. Those who visit cinema halls are very few. Hence, the cinema hall owners want to make the industry viable. They have to make the theatres very attractive. They have invested a lot of money in improving the theatres, the facilities, the sound system, etc. The government has given the owners to fix their own fares, not to be fixed by the government. Hence, the high cost of tickets.

Are the actors charging any lesser? Each tick cost is a combination of the facilities offered by the theater as well as the amount spent on buying the movie from the distributers and the math works upward like that to the production costs to the locations where the movie was shot etc.,
