You misunderstand, i mean why should feelings like love be talked about? Why can't love be evident through our actions? and no not interpritive dance (lol that was a good one though)

Honestly, not everyone can see the emotions we are portraying.

Can you tell what I am feeling or thinking when we are behind a computer screen? I could be a hate monger or a peaceful, loving person. You never know.

Even face to face you cannot always tell what someone is feeling even if your are really perceptive.

You pose an interesting question still, I'll think about it.

Why would you want everyone to demonstrate their feelings? That is what animals do. When they are angry they lash out in self-defense. When they are hungry, they focus only on grazing or killing to fill their belly. Small children without self-control act out their feelings. We see criminals in our prisons who choose not to exercise self-control and instead act out their feelings all the time - usually with assaultive behavior, and they don't give a thought to the consequences of their actions.

If you choose not to verbalize your feelings, then by all means live your life that way. You have free will, so just do it. By the same token, be prepared for the consequences of your actions. And don't expect the majority of people to agree with you. Most humans understand they are unique above all animals and prefer the interactions of speech, compassion and sharing life and experiences. The fact is women have more connective tissue between their brain hemispheres, and have a more highly developed communication center in their brain. The result of that is communication... i.e. verbalizing thoughts. Words are powerful things and can diffuse a volatile situation in which people have allowed their feelings to govern their actions.

The fact is, the more civilized, intelligent and less violent a society becomes, the more subtle and verbal their communications. The nice thing about being human is that we can control our feelings without acting out whenever we feel something. We humans are unique in that we have abilities beyond the instinctual ones animals rely on to survive. The extent of our deductive reasoning and ability to react with compassion is uniquely human.

In an intelligent and compassionate society, if a person represses their feelings by not verbalizing, they will often act out in violent ways. (Psychology 101) No, you are not convincing in light of human evolution, and these words should not be removed from any language.

no,they should not. No one can truly understand how we are really feelin so we use word the best we can describe the way we feel. Its just another way of communication besides lets say your in love wouldn't you want to tell someone how happy you are or how you feel that's why we need words to describe our so other people can understand.

Words are needed to describe "What you truly feel," for example, if i was sad and if "Janet" showed up and comforted me, did she do it because she just cared, did she do it because she would like to be just my friend, or because she has a crush on me and loves me? All of these 3 examples show affection, but what FEELING was it that drove her to comfort me? Then you would need A WORD to DESCRIBE "Janets" FEELING. What IS HER FEELING?

what about blind people that aren't able to see your expressions, or what about books? how can we express ourselves in our writing without the words that describe feelings? maybe the words you are talking about aren't used so much to describe our feelings when used in a discussion but are used to emphasize them, you know, the same way we use italics or when we underline a word in our typing.

Should they also be taken out of all other languages? Shall we just communicate in grunts and moans then?
