Hey, that's "Great" that your other half desires to have more Love Making.
I wish my Wife gave me more Love Making in bed.
Try Once every 4 to 6 Week.
If I had a Choice, I'd love to Make Love to my loving Wife at least Once or even Twice a Week. It's like a Curse, being way more Hornier than my Wife is. I might be a 45 year old dude but, I still have Hormones like a 20 year old = )

Well if he's a guy it could be he is trying to distract you from another relationship he is having. If it is a woman, it could be the same or she could be pregnant. Sometimes there are many reasons but usually if its out of character something has changed in their life and they are feeling differently. Up to you to try and communicate without causing offense, just ask if something is different now. Who knows maybe they were having an affair all this time and now its over and they are back home again.
