No way. Coming out of the pacific division I for one hope the Sharks smoke them. Would love to see another San Jose, Dallas series because that basically means the sharks are a shoe-in for the next round because Turco can not win in the playoffs! He is a very good goaltender In the Regular Season! But your not going to win the cup in the regular season. You can lose it there but not win it, and since you have to make it past round one to win the Stars do have a chance. Go Sharks!

I think it's a definite possibility. I know Marty's had some rough times with playoffs in the past, but he's off to an awesome start this season. And who says Dallas doesn't have enough key players? Hello...Modano, Lindros, Morrow, Zubov, Barnaby, Turco...the list could go on and on, but I'll spare you, not to mention they have the best starting record in franchise history: 8-1.
GO STARS!!!

No the Dallas Stars do not have enough talent to Win the cup this year--if the GM gets off his Butt and makes some trades they may have a chance to lose to the Sabres in the Finals...

i say no. my reason is that they are in a tough division. they may not even make it to the playoffs. with anaheim, san jose, la, and phoenix, in their division it can be a dog fight to get to the playoffs. i think the stars are too old to win . they have to be near the top as one of the oldest teams in the nhl age-wise. they are too slow and are in a similar situation as detroit as far as how they will seed if they make the playoffs. so i think if they get rid of some of those old fogeys then maybe they will go far. lindros alone doesn't guarantee a stanley cup. ask philly fans about how he choked against detroit in the finals in 1996-1997.

No! remember Turco has been a great regular season goalie since he took the starting position from the Eagle, but he has played poorly in the playoffs and its been like that the past 3 to 4 years. he will need to prove him self in the playoffs if you're thinking Stanley cup.

HELL YEA it'll be a rematch of 99 too
if they don't have the key players or are too old then how come they have the second best record 7-1-0?
GO STARS!

Of course. This is the team lead by superstar Mike Modano, with Zubov, Lindros, and star goalie Marty Turco. Bet your last dollar on it!!

It's unilikely they'll make it out of the west. There are several very good teams there this year and Turco hasn't really proven to be a great playoff performer. Additionally, there special teams haven't really performed well yet this season. That'll probaby come with time though....
