If you are using windows Xp, or 2000 pro . it is advisable u create a new profile .you can retain all your programs as well yor music files.
your Machine would be faster than before.

back up your files in a cd or maybe a usb drive. or set a system restore point. on your system restore tools. start>all programs> accessories>system tools> system restore. so that if any thing happens accidentally, you wont lose your files. and then defrag

Get a memory stick, 1 gig advisable. Then transfer everything you need to that stick, if you need more space, then you can unload that stick to a temporary location or get another stick, (Doubt you'll need more space) That way is fast and effective.
