Vitamin E helps with elasticity moisture..etc..also Shea Butter..such as Palmers Cocoa Butter lotions and creams..use everyday...morning and night....right after the shower or bath is best because it holds in the moisture...pat dry then put on lotion...

Many women believe that using lotions and creams help prevent stretch marks. Realistically speaking however, the number of stretch marks you get depends on how elastic your skin is. The elasticity of your skin usually relates to your genetic make up. The best thing you can do is find out if your mother got bad stretch marks during pregnancy. If she did, you are probably more prone to stretch marks than other women.

Other wise while they are still new, use scar creams and coca butter...It may make the appearance of them look a little better.

I'm in herbology right now to be a herbalist....one thing I learned is that Raspberry Leaf Tea is the best thing for stretch marks...it helps make the skin stretch. You can have as much as you like since it is a herb. Make sure it's the real herb not any of that knock of stuff. It is also cheapier than buying bottles of lotion. Also you can drink as much as you like since it is a herb, when you get further along drink 2-3 cups a day since that is the time you mostly grow! Congrats...and Good Luck!

As a massage therapist, I learned that stretch marks can be eliminated or reduced by regular and appropriate massage technique--preventive massage is even better. If you are in S. California area, I can give you some sample treatment.

I have 4 kids and absolutely no stretch marks on my stomach. I have a few on my hips....that's it.. And I wholeheartedly believe it's from when I was young I used to push my stomach out as far as I could....and then back in as far as I could. Like making myself 'real' fat, then 'real' skinny.....
Does this make sense.? It's like I have hecka elasticity from doing that for years.....I know it's sounds crazy, but it's true.
I would think being pregnant it would be fine to do that as well. Check with your doctor about it.
and good luck. If you're going to pick a lotion, make it straight up cocoa butter....nothing else...

you can't get rid of them without some kind of laser treatment or something. BUT i prevented mine in pregnancy by using a balm made of cocoa butter and shea butter and coconut oil that i heated and mixed together and put in a jar. i'd rub it on all my curvy parts (hips, belly, breasts) every night before bed. it's greasy but it moisturizes so well, allowing the skin to stretch!

Use Vitamin E oil every day during your pregnancy and after ward. Vitamin E heals torn tissues which cause stretch marks. Good luck and by the way CONGRATULATIONS!!!

OKAY! Its Hereditary... SO look towards the women in your family. Did they get them? if your mother, aunts, sisters got them when they were pregnant you will get them too. No amount of coco butter, massage or bathing in any type of oil is going to prevent them from happening although they can help with the severity.
