Are you currently taking your Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo right now? If you are still in that pack of pills finish the pack and then when you are due to start a new pack of pills start the Yaz. You should finish the one pack and start the new pack the following day, you should be taking one pill everyday, either a pill from the pack of Ortho or a pill from the Yaz.
If you have finished your last pack of the Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and have stopped taking birth control pills even for a day then it is bet to wait for your next period to start taking the Yaz. Wait for your period, then start the pack of Yaz the first Sunday after that period begins. If you have gone off of your pills make sure to use condoms as you are not protected form pregnancy if you are not taking pills.
If you are still unclear I'd encourage you to ask your doctor, the nurse at the doctor's office, or the pharmacist--that is what they are all there for.

You should be asking your Doctor this. Try to remember the last day you took a dosage. Some times two things that do the same thing may not work well together or things might be bad if one is still in your system while you add the other.

So even though they may seem the same, they might react to each other or over due their job and give a bad reaction. When it comes to these kind of things the side effects of over doseing might mostly come out in your emotions and while in the state of mind your in when your emotions are off you would likely not notice but others around you would.

So explain when you last took a dosage of the last to your doctor and ask wehn it would be safe to take your first dosage of this new one.

start when you finished taking the last pill of your current pack if it's 28-pill pack or after the 7 days break if you are currently using 21-pill pack. always do that when you change your brand of pills to continously keep you protected.
