a full bladder provides a clearer view of your uterus. well, that's what my doctor told me. he did an ultrasound on me when i wasn't pregnant to check on possible endometriosis. thank God i'm healthy :)

an ultra sound bounces off the water in your body to project the images seen on the screen. they wanna make sure that u have enough water in your system for the ultrasound to work

Becaues then the baby will rise to the top of the belly and it will be eaiser to see. I know when I went in for an ultasound on my spline, I wasn't allowed to eat for 4-6 hours before the appointment. It sucked but it was because, They had to see everything clearly and not have anything floating around in my stomach and intestines.

if your bladder is full, then there is more pressure on the baby from the bottom, and its easier to see it with the ultrasound
