Answers to my last question left me thinking...Do they make you practice this stuff just in case you are asked this question?
Stop using the word faith, explain to me exactly why you trust in whatever you trust in.
And please no more ignorant comments from people like J W Hockey.

No one makes us practice this "stuff". We as Christians are told to spread the gospel by Jesus. You see God loves everyone. We will never lock eyes on anyone that doesn't matter to God. He told us to love our neighbors as ourself. Once we have accepted Christ, it is a supernatural thing that happens. We begin to see past others indiscretions and realize that God does not see the bad. The person will see their sins and turn from their ways just because He created us to have a relationship with Him, and we want to be more like Jesus. YOu see we do not chose Him, He choses us. That in itself is an awakening to His Grace. No man can ever be fully trusted. However, God is unchanging, always faithful, and full of Love,. ready to give to anyone who will receive His invitation. Everyone who is called is just a prayer away from His divine Salvation...Hope this helps.

Believing is necessary when there is no possibility to verify.
We used to believe that we were born to a particular set of parents till we learned to use DNA test etc... May be the clones or newer forms of 'created' humans may have to start with similar belief about their creation, till some other scientific advancement enables verification.
Also, people believe as a matter of convenience, for want of patience, leisure, or capability to explore and verify, ... situation based priority.
Only the questions that are fundamental to life, require a person to either end up in belief and get stagnated at a particular point(and undergo the consequence , whatever... !! ), or 'create ' the time, leisure, patience, will, need, etc to evolve beyond the level of perception of just the sense organs and experience it.

Its not good to give your 100 percent trust to anything or anyone.

You listen to people's ideas but you don't exactly carbon copy the concept. Just take the best point.

You don't just take anything from anyone without analyzing.

Be smart. You need to have your own conviction. You don't let others fool you (with their ideas) even if you show them your trust and you listen attentively to them . If you think their idea is bad/.wrong, just keep to yourself and then move on to the next person for advise. A debate is not necessary if you believe in peace. We all have different opinions we all need to respect.

Remember, competition, envy, insecurity is always around you. Its pretty hard to tell if someone has good intentions unless they are your real buddies. Of course, you need not appear snubbish even if you dont exactly trust anybody.

It takes time to earn someones trust. To be trusted you need to act like a real human being.

Be well-informed so nobody messes with your head or betrays your trust.

Exactly what you're suppose to trust in is God. He is where faith comes from. What I want to know from you is how can you live without believing in anything? I also want to tell you that questioning everything in life isn't going to get you anywhere besides a state of confusion. There is never going to be an answer to everything. That is why you need faith and you need beliefs. My faith tells me that I will go to Heaven if I live by the word of God and Jesus Christ, and there I will come to know everything. You will never live if you're constantly looking for the meaning of life, and you will never know if you always want to know.

ok...DISCLAIMER: In saying this I will first declare that no one should feel singled out to the negative of this Truth but should look to the Hope of Eternal Life.....The bible begins by saying "In the beginning..." but what was before the beginning? It was God alone with His thoughts but He at that time was not God for to be God He must have worshippers so He was the self existing one or Elohim, the Eternal one with no beginning and no end..But what were His thoughts....Many of course but some were of His people whom He had to one day redeem on the cross, Those whom He foreknew would accept the ultimate sacrifice. You see some people will never believe (though I know this, it is not mine or anyone elses job to say who will or won't) because they were not predestined to Life....They are of the wrong seed.....Those who believe were saved from before the foundation of the world..They had to believe its in them as a seed and when the light of the Gospel strikes that Seed, they will recognize it eventually..They are of the Original Word Seed of God and therefore will come back to Him.God being all knowing knew who would and who wouldn't and could therefore ordain some to Life and some to everlasting shame and contempt...Jesus knew who it was He came and died for...It wasn't a gamble Him hoping someone would accept His sacrifice....He had them on His mind as He died just as He had them on His mind before He condescended and became as a man to die....It all goes back to before the beginning....Before God Spoke....His thoughts. I'm so glad that I can say I'm one of them.

thats kind of an open question. i believe that the cubs will never win the world series untill they let that goat into that bar. most believe in things that they know nothing about, just what theyve heard, or what theyve been told. is a true belief a matter of confidence or fear? my beleifs will conflict with most, so i keep them to myself. i feel if you have to broadcast your beliefs to others, your searching for a positive response, which indicates self doubt. i think most know, deep down what is right and wrong, but they wont admit it to themselves cause it just aint cool. you have to worry about what others think, dont ya know.

I think I came in late on this one, because I didn't see the first time you posted.

Faith is a spiritual, inner impression that has been woven together by time and understanding of the scripture in the Bible. It's a form of thoughts, unity and actions based on believing in God being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. One God, in three Devine Persons. Faith is built through a lifetime based on evidence left that Christ was here; by testimony taught by Matthew, Mark Luke and John...and other authors of the Bible and they are not just stories or a story book. There is solid evidence...proof that Christ existed...He lived His life from the age of 12 years old in the ministry and left His mother Mary at an early age to teach, to perform miracles. He died so we could be free from sickness and disease...He served his time in Hell for three days of Satan's torture and he arose again and it was witnessed.

These actions are recorded, pieces of his cross are saved in containers at the Vatican, in Rome. Saints who followed the teaching of Christ are on view in the basement of the Vatican. One piece of evidence that would truly make you a believer is in Rome as well, from St. Ambrose considered to be one of the greatest. Enemys of the church were torturing him, and all during his torture he proclaimed the name of Christ Jesus being his Lord and Savior. The guards who were inflicting that torture became so furious, they cut out his tongue and stomped it into the ground. Following the death of Ambrose, those other tortured souls who were made to witness dug into the soil and retrieved that piece of tongue and they did what they knew how, at that time, to preserve it. It still remains in a sealed glass container...still pink...like the day it was cut out.

I'm 57 years old...was raised a staunch Roman Catholic...but a born again Christian believer. I've been to Rome in my time...I've also seen the glass casket of St. Theresa...the 'Little Flower'. Her body is as it was when she died...over a century ago.

These are the things that the baby boomers know and have seen that have given us belief...a firm belief and faith in God. These are the things that many younger people will never know because society is rejecting God...and all of His works. Rejecting Him and the sacrifice He made giving the life of His only Son...for us. He deserves faith...and reverence.

You can believe what you want. No one is making anyone believe their Christian ways...but for what we know...the evidence that is in front for everyone to go and see...but...in this day no one cares about such things. God made this country as strong as it is becuause it's constitution was formed by Christian men. Take it upon yourself to read the original text of the Articles of Confederation and the history of the U.S. Constitution. You will find 'believer's...the men who formed this great nation carried Bibles and crosses to the wars with them...asking for strength and guidence. Do you think this country would have been as strong if it were only based on the opinion of activists and arrogance? We would be just another 3rd world country without the guidence and Blessing of Almighty God. But, you don't have to believe that, no one is forcing you to believe anything. But there are more eveidnces of God's graciousness. You'll just have to dig for them.

Can't stop using the word 'faith', hon. 'Faith' and 'believing' go hand-in-hand. If you believe in someone/thing, then you have faith in them, and vice versa. Sad, isn't it?
