How come when a black person gets pulled over by a white cop, the black person cries rasicm and harrassment. Files a complaint against the force and the officer is put on a leave of absence.

Same thing when a black guy has a gun and points it at a cop and the cop shoots. The family of the black guy files a complaint and the white officer it put on leave of absence while it is investigated.

A white guy points a gun at cop and the cop shoots and the white guy goes to jail, with no complaints from his family....

why cant blacks just accept the fact they get pulled over for speading just like white people do.

why do blacks think it is ok for them to shoot a white cop.... the families of white people who have a loved one shot by a cop do not file a suit....

i am not being racist... but why don't black accept responsibility for their actions and stop crying racism.

I suspect some folks who read your question are going to call you names, perhaps even worse than racist, but for the record I just wanted to say that I do NOT feel your question has any racial motives. You simply brought up something we should all think about. It's kind of like "the emperor's new clothes." Everyone knows something is wrong, yet they don't want to be the one to speak up about it.

You are right -- there unfortunately IS a double standard when it comes to whites and blacks and run-ins with the law. It's not ALWAYS the case (i.e. blacks don't always call foul in these situations), but the situations do happen more often than seems fair. I don't know what can be done about it, though. :( It's too easy to play the racism card, so I guess some people take advantage of that fact.

on this question i know there is some black people they probably brings up the race card in these situations that has done wrong, and i have no pity for them but theres alot of black people that do get these racist profiling actually more than u think and i think we all should accept responsibilty for our actions and at the same time racism still exists badly and this happens, its just a black persons mentality from slavery,it doesnt exist but racism does so as a black person i see this situation and i seen it from both sides,im far from racist but noone really knows how much a black person gets hrassed but that blackk person especially in bad neighborhoods,to alot of cops all is bad in the bad neighborhoods and thats not true.from experience when i experience racism i brush it off because i take responsbilty to be the mature person.about the gun situation come on lets be real white or black were human so whomever gets shot theres complaints.look at your question its kinda racist not all black people think that way.

It is not harassment. It sometimes is racial profiling.Sometimes when a black man or woman is driving around in a Lincoln and there is a reported Lincoln stolen with a different plates although the plates are not matching the cops will still pull over the Lincoln with the black man or woman driving. It isn't always blacks either people are racist to Mexicans,African Americans,Whites,Porto Recons, Native Americans, Milty Ethnic, etc.People often think of a black man of woman as some gangsta, but that's just some stereotypical **** that they feed our country though TV and Music when truly all of us are not like that, but everyone views us like that and that's unfair. That is not our destiny we choose who we are not other people I don't have to be a junkie,YOU don't have to be a gangsta be who you want try to achieve the best thing possible for you.

Because there is a tremendous amount of racism in this country that you may not see on a daily basis.

An example of this came to light recently. A member of our family does not drive, thus getting to and from the bank on payday is a real hassle, especially since this gal and her hubby live payday to payday.

Normally one of her managers deposits her check for her and brings the receipt back. Every 2 weeks this has taken place with no hassle. Till several weeks ago, another manager offered to perform the same chore. She went to the bank and was promptly asked for 2 Id's, asked why she had this check, where did it come from, and was harassed.

They deposited the check with a 7 day hold, which had never happened before. Several phone calls had to be made to get this item credited before closing to assure there were no fees or bad checks.

Yes, the manager was black.

So much crime is committed by blacks (look at your states prison population by race) that they receive more scrutiny than others.

It depends on the treatment of the person.

As you well know, some cops are known for harassing both black and white patrons, so don't act like it don't happen at all.

I have been pulled over many times in my life in the South.

I don't get attitudes with the cops whether they are right or not because the city or county automatically takes thier side.

Why do you assume that all black people do that?

now, I would like to say that I am NOT a racist. I hate racism, but have come to accept hat in life there are always little hint of it here and there. I am guilty of my subconcious hatred and desire to segregate myself from people who cannot spell "speeding". I also come to hate people who make rash generalizations of a group of people who have a few people with in that still play the race card. We get it... some people are bad apples. But to say all black people do not take responsibility actually IS racist. This is coming from a relatively privaledged white 15 year old lving in a upper middle class neighborhood, so theoretically I should be well on my way to KKK membership.

I think you mean racial profiling. That is very real; not saying it is always the case. If a car is not speeding, with tags, no busted taillights, etc, and all that is visible is that there are black people in the car, this is harassment. I still haven't heard the reason Rodney King was beat, except for the fact that he is a black man.

that is simple. the black person didnt want to be pulled over. and since it was a white cop the black will pull the race card every time. perhaps they thnk that we owe them something. they will file suit no matter what is going on.

Generally speech, I believe it's the mentatitlly of the race that goes back to the injustice of the slavery cocept. I could be wrong, though. Generally speecking, I don't consider my self as a racist, either.

White human beings might want to get pulled over in really minority neighborhoods and checked for drugs. The police are assuming they made a drug purchase in the community they in a number of of situations are not found in, it is a variety of racial profiling adversarial to whites.
