If you're a social drinker, both scotch whisky and vodka are not
health risky as you don't drink very much. However, I prefer the
scotch more than the vodka because of the warm, rich and
smooth taste which I usually enjoy.

Because of impurities that give scotch its color,flavor and texture you may get a worse hangover;otherwise,as you said, they're all the same.

Depending on the social aspects of who you are drinking with i think is the determining factor.
