Some people have been saying the new cast as a sign that it's on the uprise, but I disagree. I've watched all of the new episodes and I haven't been impressed. There's too much of the making fun of celebrities junk. It's not funny or orginal. Another thing I've heard people say is that the times are changing and it's a new generation. Well, I'm 19 and I see it as dried up. What do you think?

Good question. It really is...
I grew up watching SN and it was something to die for. But it really has become a stinker in the last 5 years or so. I would watch it now I don't even bother watching it at all anymore. It just isn't funny at all and I think it is because of the lousy writing to be honest. There is always fresh talent over the years.

I think it is on the rise again. The cast will gel a bit more and be better next season. I have to say I think some of the skits are pretty damn funny now.
It's difficult for the cast to be compared to all of the amazing talents that have been on that show through the years. But if you go back and watch a whole season, even with the epic casts they've had, you'll see that the skits have always been hit and miss.

I totally agree with you. The really old episodes were the best because they went after anything they thought could be funny. For the last five years or so, the cast has played it safe, and I don't laugh when I tune in. I don't even bother watching with any sense of regularity anymore. I'll flip it over for a few minutes every week or so, but I just want to groan because the jokes AREN'T FUNNY. It has completely lost its edginess, and it's disappointing.

actually, kinda disappointing yet yet on the comparable time no longer spectacular as a results of fact the Jazz performed 8 of the 1st 10 video games far off from domicile which traditionally they have struggled on the line. Now at house is a diverse tale the place the Jazz are a million of two communities at the instant undefeated at domicile (6-0). Now they get maximum individuals of their video games at domicile and hopefully could make a playoff push to the 6th or 5th spot in the West

I love SNL and have watched since Eddie Murphy was Buckwheat and Steve Martin was King Tut. Back then I resisted change to the cast members, Dan Ackroyd doing the news with Jane Curtin, and referring to her as "Jane you ignorant slut" was classic stuff, and I didn't want to see it go. But things do change and the cast needs time to grow into their characters. It's a new season so give them some time to run with it. Tina & Amy don't do such a bad job with the news now, I find them entertaining.

i think SNL hate a huge glitch after Gilda Radner died, Chevy Chase quit, Chris Farley died, Phil Hartman was murdered, Bill Murrey left and John Belushi died. it hasn't been the same scince. the first casts were great. now I don't watch the new shows, just the old ones. it isn't funny anymore.
