Looking at the information on the game packaging, MSFSX seems like a huge update to the series. But then again, so did MSFS 2004, and I was unimpressed. Is there much of a difference in the new game?

FSX will be extremely rough on probably most systems today, as you porobably saw that FS204 took up a lot of space. My install of 2004 is almost 3000MB, and then you get into the add ons and such. From what i've seen in promo videos on youtube, google, etc. they seemed to have focused more on groundwork then on the planes. As a matter of fact the planes look just as they did in 2004, they just have some different ones. I'd say wait a few months or maybe a full year for the price to drop down. It won't be, in my opinion, worth the opening day price.
