I would have to say that the Republicans are the sun. The sun, according to astronomy, represents ego, the self, and the principles of creativity, spontaneity, health and vitality; the life force.
The Democrats are the moon. The moon, according to astronomy, represents a person's emotional make-up, unconscious habits, rhythms, memories and moods. It is also associated with the mother, maternal instincts or the urge to nurture, the home, and the past. Not to mention that it is also where the word lunatic is derived.

I am a Republican I'm not real satisfied the way some things are being ignored by them, but still cant take the Democrats. So I would have to say the Republicans are the sun because they lead off and the Democrats are the moon because they follow, and cant get away from old ideas

The sun would be the Democrats because the sun is good for the environment, and the Democrats are the ones who actually care about the physical state of the planet. The Republicans are the moon, because like the moon, they are derelicts whose existence has no known beneficial effect on anything.

Finally! The absolutely easiest question I've yet seen.
The Republicans would have to be the Sun. Not because of light and glory, but because they have the biggest heads.
The Moon, the democrats. Not because of their diminutive status in the state of affairs, but because the Moon represents the Light in Darkness. It cares about the Earth, tugging gently, causing the tides and dramatic effects on the Weather.

The moon would be a Democrat because it falter back and forth in a repeating cycle and would be endless shadows without the sun illuminating it's truth.
The sun is constant and unchanging therefore Republican.
Need a balance between the two I think.

The sun are the Republicans because they are in power while the moon are the Democrats because they derive their power on the latter's weakness as a minority group.

it is a stupid question,i wouldn have answered but i was disappointed that both parties beleive the moon to be uselss when in fact it controls the tides,which is pretty significant.
