i guess at a 90 degree angle towards the basket. use more of your leg muscles then your arm. just keep practising and you'll find your sweet spot

Visualize this: Your elbows will come from your side and work its way up and inward slightly. As you're putting up the shot it should be a smooth motion going up. When your elbow meet your eyes it's time to take the shot. Right after your wrist flicks let it linger in the air for a second because it helps to straighten the shot. Good luck with your season!

Definitely a 90 degree angle, and make sure your wrist isn't ****** back, you want your hand to just 'flick' the ball out as you straighten your arm at the apex of your jump, your legs doing most of the work lifting the ball, your arm doing all the aiming, and your hand simply putting the spin on the shot. Also, make sure that when the ball is sitting in your hand that there's a gap in your palm so that you could slide your fingers from your other hand under the ball, in other words, you're holding the ball mostly with your fingers...

You want your elbows tucked in towards your body and make sure you grip the ball with one hand and use the other to guide the ball towards the direction of the rim. Use as much force with that hand as required depending on how far your shooting from. It should all be one smooth motion. But it all takes practice to perfect it. I always suggest shooting layups, then free throws, and then 3 point shots.

since your elbow, when faced toward the basket, will bend so that your forearm bends downwards at a technically perfect 90 degree angle, the placement of the elbow doesn't have to be a particular spot. Just make sure that it's around face level and that you use wrist snap as well.
