I agree for the most part but the song "fear of the dark" is awesome along with the wicker man and a few others. I didn't care for dance of death or their newest album that much. Plus not to judge but bruce dickinson's voice is really starting to go, i suppose being in the business that long will do it to you

i'd have to disagree. i love their older stuff the most, but i think the new stuff is great. i can greatly understand a band not wanted to record the exact same music for 30 years. only AcDc and Slayer can do that and make it work.

its sorta the same thing with Metallica, i remember when ppl called them sellouts for making the black album, which i think is a really strong record. as good as and justice for all....... nope, but still a good one. i'm not really into the stuff they did after that, it doesnt appeal much to me, but i can understand them not wanting to do the same thing all the time.

just because its not the same doesnt mean it isnt good. you dont have to like it, thats cool, but i try to go into things without expectations. i dont expect maiden to have an album like number of the beast, or powerslave these days. they're in a different frame of mind now, and i dont expect them to do the same thing every time, i know i wouldnt want to.
