It is true there is reference as given in other answers to Heavenly Father, Jesus Chirst and The Holy Ghost being "one". Realize that one may allude or point to the concept of one in purpose rather than in physical being. The concept of the trinity is a concept that was adopted as doctrinal by some christians long after biblical times. Why ask humans this question? Why not ask God this question. Read the scriptures prayerfully. Ponder them in your heart. Pray with real intent to know the truth within them. God will answer you. The tools are before you. If you don't use them you will never know how they work.

The Scriptures DO state that Christ and the Father are one, but it means they are one in PURPOSE - not literally one person. It's like when a man and woman are married, they become ONE - one family, one couple, one in purpose - a unit made of two. Heavenly Father's SON is Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost is a third being and together, they form the Godhead - a unit made of THREE separate beings. And that is the only way the scriptures make sense because a being can't create himself, nor will he pray to himself or return to himself when he dies. The THEORY of the Trinity was made up in the Constantinople era and forced down the clergy's throats or they could be killed. The theory rolled forward, unfortunately, from that day to this and still doesn't make any sense, yet millions choose to cling to it.

Hello JDub, my name is Taraile and I will answer your question coming directly from the Word. If you would turn to the fifth chapter in the book of 1John and look at verse seven. It reads, For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Now please allow me to elaberate on the scripture just read incase you may not fully understand. The Father this text is referring to is definently God the Father, and the Word is referring to Jesus. If you would look over in the gospel of St. John chapter 1 starting at verse 1, let's read, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Verse2, The same was in the beginning with God.
Now if you would continue reading through this chapter you would come to the 14 verse and it reads, And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us............
This is referring to Jesus (the Word) becoming human form and living amongst us. This scripture proves that Jesus is the Word made manifest, so now lets go back over to the 1John chapter 5 verse 7 and let's read that text again, For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father(God), the Word(Jesus) and the Holy Ghost and these three are one. The Holy Ghost is the spirit of God that comes to live in the believer or to say the one that has accepted Jesus as their personal Lord & Savior. I do pray that you have made that Decision, and I do hope that your question was anwered. Thanks and God Bless.

Where in scripture does it say that God, Jesus, and the holy ghost are one person?
Premise: We are all sons and daughters and mothers and fathers, and we all have come into this world through an intelligent design and complex bioelectrical intelligence. Call it a force, call it spiritual or electrical force, it is a force that no one still understands and we are all still speculating on it.
Therefore, religion is just part of this speculation and we are all entitled to believe what we believe and there is nothing bad about believing or being religious or believing in God or some other form of Supreme Being or force. The truth of the matter is that there is something there that keeps us and the whole universe together and is very intelligently designed and keeps us going.
Conclusion: If God is the force or like some call it spirit or electrical energy that keeps us together, and if my son’s birth is the result of my cells that united with the cells of his mother, then we are all one and the same, united in this world by one intelligent design and force that is part and parcel of our being. All is energy, matter is energy, God is energy, I am energy, my son and my daughter and their mother are energy, we all come from the same energy.

1 John 5:7 gives us the answer......For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. The Word, for those who are Christians, refers to Jesus Christ. John 1:1 says....In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I found the answer in the King James Version.

I like to point out that Jesus didn't actually write anything, it was the apostles... so the entire christian religion is built from the minds of regular people like say, the guy that denied christ, the guy that originally wanted to kill him, as well as the guy that sold him out. So when looking to the bible be sure to note that the apostles wrote everything down years later and your religion is built from that foundation. I believe in christ, I believe he is free from human erros or sin, but the apostles were not. They had years to confuse Christ's words, which is why christianity has splintered so much through the years. Chritianity is the only religion to splinter as much as it has, very intresting. Translation erros are a real pain in the membrane. Look at the islamic description of jesus for a comparisen, it sounds better, but stories are just stories to me anyway. I vented there, sorry, as of the other question, god is a paradox, so the answer to the body question is both yes and no.

God revealed himself in three different ways. As a Yahweh in the old testament (burning bush etc etc),
then He revealed Himself as a person. Jesus made the relationship more intimate. Its not between King and subjects as the old testament, but as Father and Son.
they when Jesus died, He revealed Himself as the Holy Spirit.
As I quote in the source below: "He is someone who performs spiritual functions, acts of the intellect, for example. Christ said that the Spirit would lead the disciples to all the truth"
He is of one person who revealed through 3 different times.
For Christians, God is a communicating God. He was there in the past as Yahweh, and as Jesus, and He is still communicating with us through the Holy Spirit.
in the scripture, the Holy trinity is best explained:
"Through his actions and words, we now know that God has a Son, who was with him in the beginning, and who was God like him. It is this Son who became flesh and lived among us. God does not only have a Son, but also a Spirit. This Spirit is the one who pours out the love of God into our hearts (Romans 5:5)."
I suggest you guys. read on the link. It is quite interesting and enlightning.

Plain and semple Jesus said he and the father are one, Second it says in genisus that the spirit of God( Rauch Elohim : Hebrew )AKA the Holy Spirit was there in the beginning creation, And God said (Elohim: Hebrew) let us create man in our image. In john we read that Jesus was the one who created all things, The hebrew name of God here in Genisus is Elohim, Elohim is a plural word as so is Rauch Elohim the spirit of God, But we know they are not two seprate "gods" or a single manisfistation of God (Eloh) Sense Jesus (Yehshua: or Jashuah Hebrew) says the Son and Father are one, And the Spirt of God is also There at creation answering the Father and Son Also being called God, We under stand this is not a Unity ( three seprate manisfistations jouning together in an alliance) but a triunionThree manisfistations of one being. We also read in the law, (adonie elohinu adonie achad) The lord thy God is One, just incase anyone be confused abuot it. Even though the jews have rejected the son, they still know there is one God, And that the Spirit of God And God are the same. this is the "God head" talked about in the new testament, But there are other manisfistations of God, with diferant names of that manisfistaion. when he reveiled himself in the burning bush he declaired himself as "Eheyah ashur Eheyah" I am that I am, He also called himself "YeHVaH or Yahwah, Hebrew YHVH" where we get Jehovah. wich means the Eternal one, and is also a contraction of "Yehi Hove VaHa" I am I was I will be. Are we to believe there are more than one? Or simply they are all ONE.

Rick thats not a scripture. Their is no scripture for it, when you get down too it, they say its something you just gotta believe. Jesus was talking to his father, as he does in the bible countless times, its his father, its not him, hes not crazy, he does not talk to himself, and he did not watch himself die and resurect himself and approve of himself. As jesus said, his teachings were not of his own but of his father, and the holy ghost isnt a person its an active force, its thought to be a person because its personified in some cases in the bible, but so are other things that couldnt be people like love or wisdom.

Nowhere. Sorry, ain't defined explicitly.
But, when you have these three divine-ish things running around loose in your sacred texts, you have somewhat balding Church bishops who have to argue over it.
Given that each semi-intelligent bishop could derive his own concept [and no there wasn't a standard until about 4th century AD], it was confusing and distracting. So, at a gathering of bishops, folks began to think of ways to convince the Jews that they were not polytheistic and pagans, too, as something new and interesting.
Scriptures have been tossed about for 000's of years to prove triune concepts, three-in-one, solo-god, with persons deviating into gnostic ideas being pushed out the door...
But, the church bishop with the money power prevailed and here we have it--Creed of Faith.
Okay, do you mind, I just lost track of where I was in the count of angels dancing on this little pinhead here.....?
Duh, J-Dub.... not Mormon---Brooklyn, folks!
