I assume, your husband is getting both disability and supplemental. If you get a job, depending on your income, the supplemental may be reduced or even cut-off all together. However, I wouldn't let that stop you from getting a job, because if you can get a job that has potential for you to climb the corporate ladder and earn more money is a lot better than what he's going to be bringing in. Plus, you also have to think about retirement too. You can barely survive on what you get from those two sources, so you really can't save anything for retirement.

If you do get a job make sure you report it or you could end up owing the goverment money.

Benefits could be cut-off if provided for in the policy when a family member is employed.
