Well, if you and a few others are doing a group thing, you could take almost any tv show and play the characters . . .
Adams Family
Flintstones
Gilligan's Island
(and so on)
If you are going as a couple . . .
a doctor/candy striper or nurse
Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa
Cat In The Hat and a Thing I (or II)
Devil and an Angel
If you're going it alone . . .
a "cereal killer"
a one night stand (painted box like a nightstand)
ANY character from a movie or TV show
a computer (painted box)
dress up like your boss

I remember working in a big office building in my twenties and we had a costume contest. My friend Aaron came as a big Pepsi can and won the contest hands down! His costume was a soft plastic material that I'm sure he bought at a store.

It's tricky because if your boss decides to go off on a tirade, you'll feel pretty stupid being yelled at while dressed like pocahontas. Also you don't want to look like playing dress-up is more important to you than doing your job. Kind of like the co-worker who has stuffed animals and dozens of family pics all over their cubicle. that person is not going to get promoted. So play it safe with a halloween shirt if you are a woman, tie if you're a man, or maybe just socks, or just a hair ornament or earrings. Not a whole outfit though.

Dress up as yourself, but make it look as though you haven't slept, shaved, bathed or changed your clothes in days. Then, you need as realistic a toy gun as you can find. AK-47 or M-4 would complete the look the best. Then, just wander around your place of employment looking wildly about and muttering to yourself under your breath whenever you pass a coworker in the hallway.
Am I evil? Oh, yes.

That's a pic. He carries a giant spoon instead of a pitch-fork, and "darns" people. I went as him one year, and all my friends who worked in cubes thought it was great. I even made a little "corporate" name-tag that explains it. I'm sure more than one person would get a kick out of it.
And you could "darn" people who like... Steal staples and office supplies.

you could get some depends and a bonnet and be a baby...or dress how your boss does, or wrap yourself in toilet paper and be a mummy, you could do the same with aluminum foil and be left overs. if you really wanted to be cool you could get some white and yellow felt, big enough to fit around you and then some (in a circular shape) a devils tail and devil horns and you could be a deviled egg!!!! that's the best idea ever.

well....hoooowwooooo.....a wallet! wear a green sweat suit and decorate a large piece of cardboard folded in half and attached "open" on the back.....a buck in a wallet....so very ghoulishly fitting for a large corporation!

go as the CEO of your company, because they are usually the biggest blood-suckers in town and that would fit with the halloween motiff
