I think she's asking me that because she's insecure about something. If we're not sharing an intimate moment then that question usually raises a red flag. On the other hand I know that sometimes she honestly cares about what's on my mind because she's trying to get to know me better. Tough question though when I don't feel like sharing my thoughts. She on the other hand will tell me exactly what's on her mind except when she's angry and I have to figure out what's wrong. *sigh*

ok, im not a guy but im going to tell you what a girl is thinking when she asks you that: why is he being so quiet? and she's going over a hundred little things in her head from the past week that have been bothering her about you.
if you really care then tell her you're thinking about how pretty she is... (which she'll know is a lie.. we're not stupid) then at least she will know that you still care about her and want her to be happy.
or just tell her you'd like sex & then for her to make a sandwich & buy you some cigarettes

I think guys hate that question more than any other. I'd rather hear, are you cheating on me? No matter what you say it's the wrong answer. If your honest your wrong. If you tell her what you think she wants to hear your wrong. Ladies, please don't ask that question.

i don't think they should know that. a mans mind is very private we should have been born with a keep out sign on it. there is many things going on in there that women might find offensive

If she is the one you love, then you MUST say "I was thinking about you" OR "I am afraid to lose you" OR "You look lovely today". And see her longing for your touch !
