Any computer in the office that's devoted to the keeping of medical records and data should never be connected to the internet. Isolate it and any other pc's that are networked together for the same purpose.

Depends on who the company is and what rules are set in place. Most the time it can help, such as you can look up diseases faster and symptoms that you might not know about off the top of your head. However, if all you see is monster.com being looked at then you might have a problem. Just know your staff, know who you are dealing with and what they are using it for. Get an "acceptable" internet usage policy in place early. That way there isn't any questions what is acceptable and what is not.

You should never have the internet accessible to the same pc as medical records. This could really open up the way for hackers to get in and steal privileged information.
