We are beings of spirit that come here to learn something specific - something that can only be learned here and now. We choose our circumstances, the people we come with - everything. We usually come back to a physical existence again and again to learn what we need to.
I don't know what you mean by "no fixed character" because many of us seem to have quite strong personalities and characters.

we have are own road's we walk impound the one constant in life is reality is change. nothing stays fixed in time except death, birth and taxes:) seasons change, people change nothing is fixed. even tax rates change. the meaning of life begins with you and end's with you. it's yours not are's but the vast amount of space is out there who can be for sure what is the meaning of life is so we plot are own destiny.
