The case is rare except that it is mpeg4 file. you need converter to support you. Both 3gp converter and Total Video Converter are good converters.

No, You gotta convert the videos yourself. The best converter is 3gp Converter just google search it and download it is great.

Yup, you'll need a converter.
I found a good article here on how to put videos on psp in a breeze http://ezinearticles.com/?id=332953 plus follow the link at the bottom of it, there you'll find access to all software you need plus access to a whole database ;-)

try pspvideo9 it will convert it to the MP4 format your psp will recognize i use it to convert videos and movies
