I agree it's good to clear the air. I think a lot of "white" people are afraid of stepping on toes trying too hard to be "nice" and not talk about touchy subjects. Another reason may be that there are a lot of us whites that are ...well frankly ashamed of what our race had done though the past. They maybe unable to put things they didn't do behind them and help to get to know each other. I for one am not proud of what they did but it wasn't me so move on meet people and get to know each other.

I am what is considered a "white" person. More than that though, I am an individual human that would love nothing more than to have all races see that we ALL are created by God above.

Growing up where I did, I had very little exposure to any "race" other than "white." I didn't know much of the world when I set out on my own and I went to a big city at 17. I have found that we are all so misinformed about "other races." In the meantime I have also seen the God-given human likenesses in all of us. I love all humans and if I could take anybody's pain from a "race" issue, I would. Don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty of ignorant people out there that believe there is some kind of difference between one human and another. I don't understand the thinking there, but maybe reading this will help open a new idea in somebody's life. Best to all!!!

I talk about race issues all the time. Unfortunately I am quickly labelled a racist as the statistical facts support the conclusion that US blacks are out of control relative to other races and most are incapable of being successful in America.

There ARE differences between the races, and if I'm labelled a racist for bringing these differences to people's attention, well it won't prevent my from getting sleep at night.

Most other whites are too timid to talk about race issues openly because they act like scared middle-schoolers afraid of being called racist.

Personally, because I'm tired of being called a "white person" and being lumped together in some monolithic file with others with distinct cultures. Take the Finnish for example- way different from Italians, Irish, Croatians, etc. Yet . . . we are supposed to have the same outlook on so-called "race issues," lately in relation to immigration, and largely between whites and Hispanics, who, unless they also have black African ancestry, are not a distict race but are included in the White File!!!!

It's all too confusing, tiring, and political.

Because their ancestors have a bad reputation that white people have to live with for the rest of their lives. It's more like a stigma: a blemish that will stick around probably for as long as there will be whites in the world. Usually, when we talk about racism, we think of whites versus non-whites. And the non-racist white people are sensitive about this because they don't wanna offend anybody.

Why do you question 'race' issues? Anyone concerned about race issues is a 'racist' as far as I'm concerned. Move on...get over it. Yes, I'm white...or whatever you call people of mixed decent from Europe and North America. I concern myself with issues that make a difference, not the color of one's skin.

Because most are too afraid of being un-pc, and also afraid of offending an individual of another race who they like, without wanting to or meaning to. Ive talked about this with a black Muslim man friend of mine, and he agrees that people get freaky over this. FEAR creates ignorance.

b/c it's only discrimination if there's a white guy involved. like jim gaffagan (sp?) said ''that guy over there, he's got a latin temper....but watch this white guy do the same thing...ppl say 'wow, that guy's a JERK!' '' i think it's b/c everyone is equall racist, but there are more white ppl in the USA, so it naturally looks like white ppl are more racist, just because of sheer number. so we shy away from it b/c we feel like we're the bad guys....i mean it sure looks that way, doesn't it? naw, ppl are the bad guys. all races.

Because no matter what, us whities are always accused of being racist, unfair etc. We can't win for losing as they say. I see with my own eyes and hear with my own ears, other races get more benefits than us whities. We have to keep bowing down to all the other races while they walk all over us. Not worth the fight.
