Growth hormone is effective only during growing period. After that excess secretion of growth hormone will lead to acromegaly. It will not increase the height. During growing period excess growth hormone will increase the height to 8 ft or so. But it will cause other problems like sterility.The person will suffer from other problems, for example he may become diabetic. Therefore it inadvisable to use this hormone, except in rare cases.

Human Growth Hormone cuold be used for somthing like that, but it is somehow coded into the genes as far as exactly how tall they will get.

For some reason people stop growing around 20 and then, that's it !

(oh and PS, everyone and his dog is selling it as a miracle cure, dont believe the hype)

No. Once you have reached your peak, the growth hormone will only go to other areas. This happens in cases of acromegaly, in which certain bones of the limbs and face thicken and become deformed.

Growth hormone perhaps, but my guess would be that it is more likely to cause acromegaly when the genetically-programmed height is reached.
