If you have a good relationship with your neighbor, communicate your thinking what you wanna do with the garage. Since they own part of it they have a say. Better communicate than doing it and get in a ill fight over it. Good luck. Hope they have common sense.

talk to your neighbour about it and also talk to the building commision in your area as to what are your choices. follow the legal means if talking to the neighbour doesn't work then see what you can do about it. if you do not want to share with him/her no more check out the legal remedies and or the cost of separating the spaceand if all else fails either move or have a small fire and that will get his attention espesially when it burns his half down hehehehe

that's a bad way to be in.I would check to see how it happened in the frist place if there is paper work you will have to do what it says. Go back to the beinging it will shad a lot of light on what you can do now.

Never heard of that, especially one person owning more than
half. Sounds like all you can do is either get his permission or
offer to buy him out.
