Can anyone answer this question ?
There was a player in the 70s that played for the dodgers that swung so hard that he came right out of his shoe. Who was hwe and what was his nick name?

I'd guess it was Ron Cey because he haad the most memorable nickname--The Penguin.

Well I dont know for sure which one it was but this was thier team, Steve Garvey 1B, Davey Lopes 2B, Bill Russell SS, Ron Cey 3B, Reggie Smith RF, Rick Monday CF, Dusty Baker LF, and they had two good catchers Steve Yeager and Joe Ferguson I beleive was his name. What a team!!! They had a great pitching staff as well. I was in my early teens then and loved watching them. I am a Royals fan but back then the Dodgers were my favorite NL team. The only nickname I can remember was Ron Cey was called the penguien.
