Perhaps, your period is late, or maybe you have noticed some symptoms.

If you have had intercourse or intimate genital contact within the last several months, you could be pregnant. The chances rise dramatically if you are not using birth control, but it is also possible to get pregnant even if you are using birth control, especially if you are not using it regularly or exactly as prescribed.

The most common symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. Other pregnancy symptoms include breast tenderness, bloating and nausea. Symptoms are not reliable for diagnosing pregnancy, however, because many pregnancy symptoms are also premenstrual symptoms. If you are wondering "Am I Pregnant?", you must check a pregnancy test to find out.

Then chance of getting pregnant in any one cycle is 20%. That means that if you have had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is a 20% chance that you are pregnant. It is also possible to be pregnant even if you are using birth control. It is rare if you are using a medically approved form of birth control, but it becomes more likely if you don't always use your method every single time, or take your birth control pills every single day. Withdrawal (the pull out method) is a very unreliable form of birth control. If that is your choice of birth control, your chance of pregnancy rises dramatically.

Remember pregnancy tests will not be accurate before the day that you expect to get your period.

When the stick says positive. When you miss your period, when your arms break out in hives, when you throw up your food, when you vomit nothing in the morning after smelling your toothpaste, when you can not sleep because you are too BIG to move around, when you get heartburn from drinking water, when you cry at commercials, when it is no longer ok for your husband to have exs as friends, when yo get too dizzy on the computer or watching TV, when your favorite foods taste like crap. When you see the babies heart beat at only six weeks in to the pregnancy. I had two too watch SOO cool! The Dr was going to do a d and c because I was bleeding and well, they are now 18 months. Thank God for ultra sounds!! Best of luck to you!! You can get a test at the dollar store. Well where I live you can..

Well both of my children were planned pregnancies but I had heard so many stories about, if you were on the pill for so many years that you wouldn't get pregnant right away and so on.....so after we were trying I started to feel different, sudden energy bursts and I would get really queezy in the car whenever we went anywhere, that is how I knew with baby#1 and that was before I missed my period....I tried pregnancy test after pregnancy test and it kept ocming up negative, til I finally didn't get my period and my doctor sent me for blood work. Same thing with my daughter, my son was 1 and I was starting to potty train him, he did his first pee-pee in his potty chair and as i was cleaning it out in the tub I wanted to throw-up! Now I knew something was wrong because I had been changing some nasty ca-ca diapers for a year and never felt sick, so I lied to my doctor and told her I had missed my period and she still refused, she told me that a home pregnancy test should be positive and it wasn't. so i continued agruing with her about it until she sent me for the blood work and sure enough I was pregnant! A woman knows her body! Good Luck!

Someone asks this question at least once an hour. If you honestly have to ask that, go back to grade 4 and take sex education again. It's pretty basic stuff.

You stop having your period and your belly gets bigger. Not to worry it will go down again in 9 month maybe even sooner.
