i'm listening to mine right now. love it. and every song on it was downloaded off of limewire, completely free of charge. Thanks, LimeWire.

This is really a question about the value of a particular technology on a society, what are the pros or cons of the ipod.
One quick example might be the fact that if we all listen to ipods we no longer have shared experience of cultural event as compared with listening to the radio or going to a concert together. This may lead to a more individualistic society.
