Looking to possibly get married in the Virgin Islands in late April or early May of next year, with both adults and young children attending. Anyone have advice as to a great location/resort?

My recommendation in St. Thomas would be the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and Spa. My husband and I were married there almost 5 years ago. It is an all inclusive hotel with many activities for guests of all ages. They do have a wedding planner on site that will help. All of the staff were great. Our wedding must have been the easiest wedding to plan ever!

Arizona is a really good vacation place (and for getting married). Have you researched Sedona, AZ?

P.S: The really good thing about either Sedona or the Grand Canyon, for example, is that there is an almost 0% chance of getting "rained out": if you intend to have an outdoor wedding, that is.

The month to possibly avoid is around September (already past!). The monsoon season occurs around then. Otherwise, most of the state is absolutely gorgeous, with usually a zero-percent chance of rain.
(The High Country does get both rain and snow, in season: this is the part of the state above the Mogollon Rim, in the North of AZ)

As an alternate destination, you could travel to the top of Mt. Lemon, northeast of Tucson.

The "London Bridge" in Lake Havasu, AZ is a really nice place, also, to hold a wedding ceremony. Rent a houseboat (if you can find one), at that location, on the Colorado River.

Also, Lake Mead, up on the "border" with Nevada, is an excellent place for a wedding...and, they DEFINITELY have houseboats, for rent, too.
(The ambiance is "pristine", there).

Try the Divi hotel and resort. It is located on St. Croix the largest of the USVI. Keep watching the weather forecast for that time because I remember being home around that time of year and there would be unexpected afternoon showers around that time of year. The Divi hotel will really make you feel at home and they are very accommodating for special occasions.

You shouldnt go there, you should come to The Bahamas instead... Atlantas is a great resort and on the island there are a whole lot of things to do, scuba, taking a horse and buggy ride, kewl shops, great eats, scooters, swimming with the dolphins, crystal clear waters and sandy beaches for miles... A great place that I call home..!

As a Virgin Islander, I recommend St. Croix. St. Croix is great because it is not as touristy and it is beautiful!
