people say they are good enough cause they haven't done anything as bad as stealing, but the truth is, if I ask you if you ever lied, steal, fornicated, adulterated, etc; truth is that if you said yes that you commited 3 or 4 or all of them, (Rom. 6:23) that for the wages of one sin is death, before God tell me, tell me if you will pass if you don't believe the salvation plan through Jesus is the way.

Someone has already mentioned the "cloud of guilt" but initially Jesus did not present it as a weapon of guilt. It was freedom from a system that required certain behaviors to eliminate the penalty of living a life of "sins"/transgressions of Law. Worked on a sabbath, wore polyester with cotton or ate wrong food--you had sinned. And, there was "fear" of alienation from God.
Jesus, the Liberator, laid down a different idea that perfectionism was not enough if you didn't have love for God (ie: "getting THE point" and not stressing over little details--like little annoying gnats)
So am I good enough? Well, I'm not Jesus, but if I were Jesus (or curiously possessed by Jesus) I would answer, "no one is good excepting God," or something like that. But, I'm not Jesus, so what do I know?
And, we may never know -- young rich guy that I am -- what it takes to inherit eternal life..........................and leaders have been dodging questions ever since............
I wonder which is trump card? Jesus or Paul? Hmmm...

We are not saved by being good enough. We are saved by believing in our Lord Jesus Christ. There is nothing that we can possibly do to be good enough to be saved of our on accord. We were all born to sin that is what caused the separation between God and man in the beginning. This applies because of the death of Jesus. If we lived in old testament time, a lot of times one sin brought death but we are not under that law not. We have to ask God's forgiveness for our sins.

" you can't handle the truth " the truth is all are worthy but only a few will beable to "pass the test" this is true because Christ died for the sins of the WORLD. not individuals. It is a gift from God, Only if you can see you are no better than anyone else, can you see noboby is deserving. But becouse the Ceartor loves us so much and because he is so pleased in his giving he has prepaired a feast for us, but to few have RSVP'ed. becouse to realy see how undeserving you are you have to admit that in Gods eyes are the only eyes that mater. you must admit to yourself that you are no better than a thief, lier, murder, rapest, or even the chid molester. Because their is no differance in sin, The Christ said if you have sinned agenst one commandment you have sinned against them all. If you drop a pricless vase and it brakes into two pieces how can you justify that you only broke it a little. it is as broken as it would be as if it were a thousand peices, it is now trash and only fit for the dung heap. Quit justifing sin, We are all worthless dung!!! Only when we can see how great God is, and except his forgiveness, and beg him to change our nature. Untill then our pleas and confessions are not true, and they are unheard by God becouse you are telling him in kind, I'm realy not that bad, you can forgive me becouse I'm not like that other person. You are in for a shock when the murder and child molester receive their forgivness and you are thrown out into darkness. all have sinned. your good works do not add up to an ants spit in the site of the Almighty King of the Universe.

There is no one righteous and all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. My only help is to throw myself on the mercy of the court and claim Jesus sacrifice as my own. I won't stand on the merits of my deeds and neither will anyone else. Check out the book of Romans in the Bible. Paul addresses this question in great detail. Also the book of Hebrews tells us that Jesus acts as our advocate(lawyer) before the Father interceding on our behalf. His defense strategy: I shed my blood for this one. She is innocent because I have paid the penalty for her sin already. It sure beats trying to get in by comparing my life to everyone else's when no one can pass the test 100%.

We are all good enough before the court of God. We are not good enough before the court of high and mighty judgmental human beings who try to control people and their actions with a scary book. We are all Gods children, Jesus is the way...he is the perfect example of how one can physically manifest divinity here on earth. If we followed Jesus' teachings and the "way" he lived his life, we would all be on a track for improving our spiritual experience here on earth, as well as improving our personal experiences with eachother. God is not a judge. God does not have the temper of an angry human. God has no wants, no needs. God is within all of us, we just need to start acting like it.

I'm not good enough, no one is. Thank God for His mercy and grace is new every morning. Thank God that he sent His Son to die and take the consequence for all my sin and guilt and shame upon HImself and set me free! I thank God everyday for what He has done in my life. He saved me, changed me and has given me the hope and peace so many of us are desperate for. And because Jesus took my place, I will stand before my Father God one day and know that my sin was washed away, that my name is written in the Book of LIfe and I will spend eternity in His presence because of His forgivnenss. We are not good enough alone, but through His forgivness, ...."the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (The rest of that verse Romans 6:23). A gift is not something earned but graciously given out of love, you just have to receive it.

If the god of the Bible exists, I will be condemned to hell for rejecting his way, whatever that might be. And if that happens, I will gladly go to hell. If the god of the bible made all the suffering and horrors of the world, I can never worship such a monster. Besides, if the god of the bible exists, i won't have a say in the matter, will I? Everybody wins.

" For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:3-5
I am only "good enough" in God's eyes because I have accepted Christ as my personal Saviour. The Lord Jesus Christ, free and pure of all sin, took my sin (and the whole world's sin) upon Himself and was nailed to the cross and gave His life to pay the death penalty for me. What a wonderful God I have!

I'm not a brain-washed, MAN-MADE book thumping, mindless animal running around scared of my Creator. I am a free-thinking, open minded, individual who choses no ONE path to my Creator. All Gods are One God. I do not believe that one sin that went unconfessed grants the excuse to chuck someone into ANY level of Hell.
Organized Religions are corporations, not Houses of Gods. If you want to spread the word of your beliefs, use forums, talk to people, try to connect to others. Don't force them with scary smoke and illusion...
