Christianity had a greater influence when America formed our government in the beginning. It’s influence now has diminished considerably. If we would bring the religious influence back into government then America would be stronger for it. North America is a young and very strong Country that has done very well with the principles of Capitalism. “The new world order, socialism that has been the down fall of most every other Country would not be a benefit to America.” We are different then the rest of the world and that is a good thing. Remember we are not flocking to their Countries to live, they are flocking to our Country. NOT because we need to make a change but because Capitalism WORKS. So does Christianity!

America isn't just based on capitalism. It's about freedom of speech, religion, etc. Those define American ideals. President Bush's religious beliefs do influence the way the country is run, however, the US is still a free country. People aren't forced to act or be something they're not...In a socialist or communist country, people have surrendered their rights and to put it bluntly, brainwashed by their government. I don't think you can put religion along the same lines as socialism or communism. The latter is about control, whereas religion is about practicing and professing your belief in something.

Well, sweets..look at it this way. This country was built on Christian beliefs and unity. It wasn't until special interest groups came into the picture and began muddeling it up...making it look as though Christians are nut cases. Christians are not crazy, but they do have a secure sense of 'moral values' that come from not so much 'religion' but the teaching of the Bible.

Since I was a Law Enforcement major in college, and I just graduated with that degree this past May at the glorious age of 56, I had a wonderful opportunity to study the U.S. Constitution... in fact, I had to write a paper on it for Criminal Law. While going into my research at every library in the area looking up all the information, I discoverd how very Christian every single one of the signers of that Constitution was. And if you study the Articles of Confederation, you will find how awful the king was and you have no idea how many times that God is mentioned. As a matter of fact, were you aware that the formers of the Constitution took a week off from writing to go to their respective churches and pray about what they should do? Most people, especially the younger set, does not realize this. I had no idea that every single one of them had their beliefs in place at the writing and signing of the most famous document in this country; and how these men let their consciences guide them as to how to form this document.

You are free to believe as you choose, and no one damands that you be a Christian. What Christians do not want to see is filth on television, when God's name can no longer be used. Maybe there are things out here we find offensive. Our belief is that we choose to live by the Word of God...and not the ways of the twisted society out there. We do not believe in homosexual acts, and see that lifestyle as preverted. But do we HATE homosexuals? Of course not...we don't hate anyone, but we do not choose to have our children and grandchildren to learn of it. We don't want preverse lifestyles of any kind shoved down our throats...and yes, we also want an end to war...but we don't protest...we pray for peace. We don't want racist or radical judges making or setting prescidents that we cannot live with.

Christian people are just close to God, and God's commands.. We're not crazy...we love all God's children...we just don't believe in their ways, and do not want public schools changing history just because God was included. Just like many people make fun of the Amish because they will not participate in our war. That is their religious belief and our government will not force them to go to war. But if you want freedom, then you have to fight to keep all men free. This isn't communism! Communism is when there is NO belief in God...where did you get the idea that Communism had ANYTHING to do with religious beliefs? That is totally untrue. And whoever taught you that should have their head lambasted. That is NON TRUTH. But I will tell you a pure truth, and that is all the history books are being rewritten and if you'd follow ALL the news, you would know this. They are taking out everything that has to do with GOD to justify the "New World Order"...which is the EU.

I'm sorry to say it, sweetie, but someone has been filling your head with some real junk...and this type of thinking will be the ruination of this country. Be careful who you choose to believe. If you want to know the truth...find the OLD text books...AND there the truth will be.

America and the United States Constitution was founded and based on Christian Beliefs....and no other. And I'll make you a promise...if you read the original Articles of Confederation, it will give you great enlightment about what people went through to come to this country. Then read everything that lead up to the U.S. Constitution. You'll then appreciate this land of the free.

First of all I have a question for CHAMI.....Ummm HUH?!?!.
That answer made no sense even after reading it 5 times.....
Anyway...... You have a good point there, they want to seperate religion from Government, I think thats crap, I think eventually in a not so distant future, they'll (the Government) be trying to decide "Whats best" for us religiously ... Just like the war on terrorism (The Iraq mess) was to protect the American people it was what was "Best" for US........ hmmm I guess I slept through it that day when WE all had a say in "Whats best for us.

America's economy is based on capitalism and the free market. The glory of this country is based on the freedom of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness as you see it.
And if you think religion plays a bigger part in the rule of government now as opposed to earlier times, you and I have had different history classes.

Whether you believe in God or not; I feel that God is at work in all of our hearts. This Land of the Free that you speak of will go above and beyond capitalism and into an age of true freedom when we are not tied to materialistic belongings.
